Introduction

There are two million family farms in the U.S., most of them small farms; to harvest seasonal crops, they rely on hired farm laborers, most of whom are undocumented. These small farms are important to our food security and they have a huge stake in immigration reform.  And yet, for the most part, small farm owners are left out of the immigration reform debate in Congress.  Farm Labor documentary film project is an independent initiative supporting comprehensive immigration reform and addressing the seasonal labor concerns of small family farms and hired farm laborers, through this website and a projected series of short character-based films meant for internet distribution.
